relentless core

The line up for Relentless this weekend is quite something ... and that's before you get us started on the quality bands for the Leeds and Reading rock festivals (...as sponsored by Relentless!) Beyond the Chillies, Fall Out Boy, Razorlight and co ... we've got surf, wake, ski, BMX, MX and motorsport supersport action all on top... seriously this bank holiday ain't no holiday at all. It's an adrenalin fueled banquet of core sport and rock action! If you're in the neighbourhood, come say hello at any of these gems of core sport and rock... we'll be waitin'

Stop 1 - Reading Rock Festival. Look out for the campsite can. Should be easy to find amongst the 200,000 revellers descending on the town. Right .... Failing that, we'll see you stage side in the mosh! Our only concern ... just too many bands, too few pairs of feet to cover the ground to see them all...

Stop 2 - Leeds Rock Festival. Another 120,000 over 3 days. And ahh the 24hr zone to recharge or stay on it. Your call. And with so many stages, that big dilemma ... how to be in 2 places at once ... next years challenge to overcome for sure.

Stop 3 - The MX British GP at Donnington Park - race day Sunday. Relentless Suzuki, the Swift Boys and Billy Mac all sponsored by Relentless and gunning for international honours in front of 50,000. Not to be missed.

Stop 4 - Cadwell Park and the British Superbike Champs (you guessed it as sponsored by Relentless - race day Monday. Our boys Ian Lowry and Michael Laverty running 1 and 2 in the Supersport class. Lots to be there for - and these TAS boys know how to make it interesting. A quality day of Relentless racing guaranteed.

Stop 5 - The Liquid Leisure Night Jump in Datchet - sunday night. Man was not built to fly?... try telling that to this crew. 70mph into a ramp on a set of sticks. Sure it's water ... but at that speed from these heights ... it's concrete. No Half Measures in deed. And lots of juice, a wakeboard big air comp and no doubt a phat party to match ... big Stu knows how to throw em.

Stop 6 - the Princes Pro Am - finals Sunday. The best waterski slalomers in the world arrive in our back yard. Our boy Mr Larkin ready to do the business. All that squash training to pay dividends eh Az??? .... and you know I trained you hard. ;-) There's also a little floodlit action on the cable Friday night with the local wakeboarding crew primed and ready for action. Young Relentless rider Nick Davies contemplating the big 12... get in there son!

Stop 7 - the British BMX Champs from Burnham on Sea - Saturday.Sunday competitions. Our boy George has pulled himself off his recovery bed (shoulder pinned with 5 screws no less) to get down to activate this one. Relentless sponsorship and Relentless riding for sure.

Stop 8 - The BPSA Surf Tour comes to Bude. Skills grooved in Newquay given a second airing. Now for that wave dance...

Ahhh a magnificent .... uhhh 8 ... poingnant. Emotional. And that's before we kick it all off.

Well given the amount of miles will be covering to activate the brand it's a good job we've got the juice to keep us on it! And the new Inferno at that ... we'll be waiting with a chilled one. See you then.

Relentless Energy Drink have taken the associate sponsorship of the UK’s largest Action Sport and Music Festival, The Rip Curl Boardmasters 2007. To follow is a run down of Relentless activities taking place in Newquay this summer.

Starting on the beach and Relentless brings its third in a series of No Half Measures Tours. The No Half Measures Tours offer a chance for a select few of our most talented young athletes to show their mettle as they push the limits of the sport. Receiving guidance and inspiration from the industry’s leading lights along the way; some of the best UK riders will also have access to training from a seasoned pro as well as physio support, health and nutrition advice and sponsor relations management. This training ground offers a place for riders to train and receive 100% support. This week the discipline is Vert skateboarding and over from Australia to push the kids is Gravity Games winner and former world number 1, Tas Pappas. Tas will be over to coach the UK’s best youngsters including the likes of Sam Beckett, Sam Bosworth and Paul-Luc Ronchetti.

The main event at the Rip Curl Boardmasters is the surfing and Relentless will be keeping a very close eye on two of the members of Relentless surf team taking part in the 5 Star Mens WQS Event. Sam Smart and Jayce Robinson will be flying the Relentless flag against the best in the World.

Elsewhere on the Fistral site you will be able to check out some of Relentless other ‘toys’ including the Relentless Suzuki MotoX and Superbikes!!! If that’s not enough Relentless will be providing a deluxe athlete lounge for all surfers and vert skaters at the event. The athletes will be able to access this area at all times for relaxation or recharging. Look out for the Jacuzzi!!!

Venturing over to Watergate Bay and the Unleashed Music Festival, Relentless Energy Drink are very proud to present the Relentless Energy Drink No Half Measures Stage. This will bring a second stage to the ever expanding Unleashed Festival and will be very well received by the festivals faithful. The line up is as follows:

If you need a break from the music simply turn around to witness the UK FMX Team performing their unique display including the back flip from Relentless team riders Gary Taylor and Danny Veale. These guys are the embodiment No Half Measures. It has to be seen to be believed!

Also at the Unleashed Music Festival will be the Vans Rococo Wakeboarding Rail Tour. This entails the UK’s best wake boarders and wake skaters being winched across a variety of long rails into a pool of water. Relentless representatives will include Matt Crowhurst, Jonty Green and World Cable Champion and recent 1080 stomper, Nick Davies.

To sum up Relentless have taken an absolutely No Half Measures approach to this event and will not go unnoticed in Newquay and at the Rip Curl Boardmasters this summer.

Give you a clue ... you'll find our friend where action sports and music collide in perfect harmony ... with maybe a bit of drums, guitar, bass, keyboard and some mighty fine vocals... you know it.

Well the 20hr drive to Val D was about as Relentless as it gets - good job we brought lashings of our stay awake juice! Then, once in resort who could have anticipated the No Half Measures snow fall - talk about de heavens opening man! What comp could honestly have survived that??? But at the end of it all we had a rockin time in the Relentless chalet, we loved our sessions in the powder with Jon, Tom, Gary, Tyler and co, and at the end of the day found ourselves suitably entertained by our nights on the tiles tuckin' in to the local hospitality! (Well at least until somebody served me a dirty glass ... honest guys I can hold my Jeigermeister!!!!)

You will of course be able to find out all about the weeks stand out performances on all the snowboard forums but our side here's a few photographic memories from the week with the odd podcast to follow in the days ahead.

Back at Relentless Chalet HQ ... the card sessions got serious ... Mr West's poker face particularly impressive...

Ahead of the qualifiers Tom still hasn't quite nailed the dead pan play ... sleep easy Mr Cincinatti!

Our new Norwegian buddy and Forum rider Daniel drops in with a massive indi ahead of a tidy rodeo over the rail ... (ok so you've got to really want to see it!...)

Well the wise men of the hills will tell you the same amount of snow falls from the sky every season ... it's just all about when it falls. Well from where I was sittin' I reckon it all fell in Val last week. Those of you heading out to the hills iminently ... drink deep, go steady on the off piste and have the phattest time. Peace. The Boardmaster masses arrive...

Weapons waxed and ready to play... (...the boards not the ladies...)

Core board sport action meets pumping tunes ..... add a whole load of chicks in bikinis (you've got to see the 'Manwash' to believe it!) and what do you have? ... a ripping week at the the Rip Curl Boardmasters 2006 that's what. Sunshine, waves, a killer vert ramp, a full on rock fest and enough Relentless to keep everyone on it for a full 7 day sesh ... Tim/Dave leading the way in the surf/sell/party 'til you drop stakes! We had a blast ... hope you did too. Here's to rerunning the fun big styly in 2007!

What a weekend! Whether we were powering visitors up the 'hill from hell' with our No Half Measures energy or inside the festival kicking back ourselves with a chilled can infront of the South West's best music talent, it was great to be there. Our thanks to our extended Relentless crew on the day, to Billy for his kind hospitality and to the young lass from the Gillette tent for 'looking after' one of our boys.

Over and above the great bands on offer this festival seems to have it all... and we quote "A full weekend of top entertainment including Full Fairground, Ejector Seat Bungee, Sideshows, Face Painters, Tattooists, Trade Stalls, Dealer Stands, Miss Bikini Competition (nice....) , Mr. Beer Belly Competition (...not so nice...) and Tattoo Show all with cash prizes and goodies, Tug of War Contest - Challenge the Derbyshire Strong Survive Lads!!, Late Bars with Cold, Cheap, Beers ....... and lashings and lashings of cool Relentless Energy Drink!" We'll see you there where we'll be sampling our sweet nectar.

Hell of a thing...

Relentless = born of the territory where core action sport meets rock music. Well, for the definition of hardcore rock music welcome to Bloodstock! Even for some of the more seasoned members of the team ... this was an education! Fierce riffs, roaring bass and enough Relentless to power the crews through until the early hours ... same place next year for another full on session?
