IAN LOWRY PODIUMS AT OULTON

Ian Lowry jumped onto his first supersport podium of the season at Oulton Park yesterday, taking a fine third place, with team-mate Michael Laverty continuing to score solidly in the superbike class [7th and 4th].

Oulton is not one of my favourite circuits but in the first race the mistake was all mine. I just ran onto the grass, over the gravel, then bounced my wheels off the barriers the same way Plater does at Macau! Seriously though, it was more luck that judgement but I fought my way back from 26th to 7th place. I was doing the same lap times as Haslam in second place. In the second race we had that small tyre problem, but our time will come, sooner or later.”

Great end to the bank holiday weekend with some solid results from all the Relentless Suzuki Teams both on the Road and on the Dirt.(GR)
