The Kennedy International 2007 North West 200
Well, I thought I was a man of the world. Rugby league, UFC, the TT all defined hardcore in my book. But honestly none of these had really prepared me for the NW200 at the weekend just passed. 200mph, on 2 wheels, on standard tarmac roads, 6m wide at best, through the town, 100,000 people screaming like banshees, your competitors slipstreaming you for all their worth ! I'd never seen anything like it. Never.
Motorbike websites the world over have the full run down on results trackside. And our team site http://www.relentless-suzuki.com has our guys view on this, a genuine festival of racing. Be sure to check em out - particularly the very cool Relentless Suzuki Superbike from the TAS boyz, all in lapsed time photography, to be found at http://www.bbc.co.uk/northernireland/tv/nw200/video1.shtml. From us for now, respect to the Relentless Suzuki team, on our knees in front of the god that is Mr Bruce Anstey, and a big thankyou to one and all for the warm Irish hospitality we experienced in Portstewart, notably in that crazy house that is the Anchor Bar! Find below a few memories from Saturday ... those that we remember anyway, before the celebratory Guiness kicked in and it all went a wee bit hazy.... 10 pictures that say a little but certainly not all. For that you have to make the trip. We'll see you there in 2008....

The crowds rolled in early on race day ... very early ... (i.e. we were just leaving the Anchor Pub!)...

Mobbed at the Relentless Suzuki stand!

Can't breath! So many people!

On the grid...

Race one on the start line ... unbelievable tension.

Archie and the guys ahead of the second Superbike race ...

Gratuitous grid play ... Relentless hot pants. No Half Measures styling. ;-)

Mr Anstey takes his second of the day. 196mph through the speed trap!

The Legend himself. A second and 3 wins on the day. Oh and all after a nasty high side in race one.
Relentless.

What a day. WHAT a day.
The NW200 - pure Relentless - the living definition of No Half Measures - and then, honestly, maybe a bit more...
